[scheikunde] analytische chemie

Hallo!

Ik ben bezig met het berekenen van sommetjes van analytische chemie en zit vast.

Het gaat over analytische chemie.

Assume that 40,0 ml of 0,0800 M H2SO3 (Ka1= 1,5*10^-2, Ka2= 6,3*10^-8) is titrated with 0,160 M NaOH. Calculate the pH after addition of the following volumes of 0,160 M NaOH:

a. 20,0 ml

b. 30,0 ml

c. 35,0 ml

Re: [scheikunde] analytische chemie

a.

Mol H2SO3/40 ml = 0,08 M H2SO3

Hieruit volgt 3,2 mmol H2SO3

Mol NaOH/20,0 ml = 0,160 M NaOH

Hieruit volgt 3,2 mmol NaOH.

Hieruit blijkt dat genoeg base is toegevoegd om de 1e equivalentiepunt te bereiken om alle H2SO3 om te zetten in HSO3- .

H2SO3 + OH- => H2O + HSO3-

pH= pKa1 + Pka2/2 = 4,51

b.

Mol H2SO3/40 ml = 0,08 M H2SO3

Hieruit volgt 3,2 mmol H2SO3

Mol NaOH/30,0 ml = 0,160 M NaOH

Hieruit volgt 4,8 mmol NaOH.

H2SO3 + OH- => H2O + SO32-

[OH-] = 4,8- 3,2 mmol = 1,6 mmol OH -

kw= [H30+] * [OH-]= 10^-14 / 1,6 = 6,25*-15 mmol

pH= - log [H3O+] = - log 6,25 *-15 = 14,20

Re: [scheikunde] analytische chemie

c.

Mol H2SO3/40 ml = 0,08 M H2SO3

Hieruit volgt 3,2 mmol H2SO3

Mol NaOH/35,0 ml = 0,160 M NaOH

Hieruit volgt 5,6 mmol NaOH.

H2SO3 + OH- => H2O + SO32-

[OH-] = 5,6- 3,2 mmol = 2,4 mmol OH -

kw= [H30+] * [OH-]= 10^-14 / 2,4 = 4,17*-15 mmol

pH= - log [H3O+] = - log 4,17 *-15 = 14,38
