Study ties passive smoking to dementia

http://www.reuters.com/article/scienceNews...ame=scienceNews

LONDON (Reuters) - Passive smoking appears to significantly raise a person's risk of dementia and other forms of cognitive problems, British and U.S. researchers said on Friday.
"Invisible Pink Unicorns are beings of great spiritual power. We know this because they are capable of being invisible and pink at the same time. Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them."

Re: Study ties passive smoking to dementia

En nu is het wachten op een onderzoek dat het tegenovergestelde concludeert;
Several prospective studies have suggested that smoking in middle aged and elderly people is associated with an increased risk of dementia1234, but at least one study found no association5, and one report suggested that nicotine may have a protective effect on AD by reducing senile plaque formation6.
