I think it was a boring movie. It was more of a bunch of malarkey. This is because sadly enough no action was involved. There were tense moments, but there was no real action. The film deals with love/ affection and poetry. There are other reasons why I am not a fan of this movie. There are to many scenes in the movie where the main characters have sexual intercourse. Physical intimacy is shown explicitly! I dont like watching it, because according to me it’s inappropriate/impertinent. Sometimes It's almost the same as pornography. If it would have occured like only one time, that would not have been a problem/complication. But it is happening all the time. As a viewer, you really get tired of watching all the love/kissing scenes. Concerning Shakespeare, I really thought he was going to be a big wheel (a rich/powerful man like Lord Wessex) in the story, but he was more of a poor/miserable dramatist (playwright). My impression of Viola De Lesseps/Thomas Kent is that she is a young, naive girl who does not know what genuine(real) love is all about. So she is more of a babe in the woods (a naive, defenceless, young person). The Movie gave me the impression that there was no real love between Shakespeare and Viola De Lesseps/Thomas Kent. This is because they only admired each other's exterior (the face and the figure of the body). They meet each other and they instantly/directly fall in love (and start caressing each other) ! It really gives me the gut feeling they will separate/ break up at some point. According to me they should pay more attention to the interior. They have to figure out whether they have the same personality. My conclusion is that the movie was certainly not exciting/stunning, but it was sensational. I do like the actors, because they act well. What does Shakespeare mean to me now? Well, I (now) know he was a hard-working person. This means he built his reputation by sitting hours in front of the table. His luck was surely not served on a silver platter.
