Alot of(f) / a alot of(f)

Beste wsf-lid,

Is het alot off/alot of? of a lot off/ a lot of?

Re: Alot of(f) / a alot of(f)

Rhiannon heeft gelijk

"A lot of milk" betekent "een heleboel melk"

"They took a lot off it" betekent "Ze hebben er veel vanaf gehaald"

Voorbeeld: "Did you have a haircut?" "Yes, they cut a lot off. "

Vergeef me;)

Is het niet "Did you have a haircut?" "Yes, they've cut off a lot."?

Dat dacht ik ook. Het voorzetsel achteraan heb je toch enkel in constructies als vraagzinnen: 'Who are you talking to?'

Mag beide. Inderdaad wordt meestal gezegd 'they('ve) cut off a lot' maar het was hier voor het voorbeeld.
