Als je dit of soortgelijks werk nog niet gelezen hebt, heb je zeg maar nog niet echt geleefd (zeker als wetenschapper)

Een heerlijk boek, wat tegelijk ook een stukje wetenschappelijke geschiedenis meegeeft. Een paar hoofdthema's zijn: "The butterfly effect", "geometry of nature", "universality". Ook (nonlineaire) fractals, zoals de Mandelbrot set komt aan bod. Chaos - Making A New Science is voor het eerst in 1998 gepubliceerd, maar dat maakt het niet minder waardevol. Als er tips en suggesties zijn op uitgebreidere en recentere boeken die het lezen waard zijn, hoor ik het heel graag!
