dit onderdwerp gaat over onafhankelijkheid van 2 kansen ( independence)
Example 4.9
The probability that A hits a target is 1/4 and the probability that B hits it is 2/5.
What is the peobability that the target will be hit if A and B each shoot at the target?
Antwoord van de schrijver:
We are given that P(A)=1/4 and P(B)=2/5 , and we seek P(A vereniging B). Furthermore , the probability that A or B hits the target is not influenced by what the other does. ;that is , the event that A hits the target is independent of of the event that B hits the target. : P(A doorsnede B)=P(A).P(B) Thus:
P(A vereniging B )=P(A)+P(B)-P(A doorsnede B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(a).P(B)=1/4 + 2/5 - 1/4 keer 2/5 =11/20
Dit begrijp ik niet goed waarom is het antwoord niet 1/4 . 2/5 =1/10
